Please read through this page for information and answers to commonly asked questions about Souk by Samah.

HANDMADE GOODS

All products sold by Souk by Samah are handmade by me, Samah (or in the case of the photo prints, photographed by me), and are created with the utmost care and passion. Some of the materials I work with - mainly the brass or glass jewelry components - are also handmade by other creators and makers. This means that there may be small variations or imperfections in the products, as well as limited quantities.

SECURITY & PAYMENT PROCESSING

When you place an order, your name, email address, and shipping information are collected solely to fulfill your order. This information is securely shared with Square, our payment provider, to process your transaction and send you an order confirmation and receipt.

Payment details are entered directly on this site using Square’s secure payment tools and are protected with end-to-end encryption.

Souk by Samah does not store any of your payment information, and only uses your contact and shipping details to complete and deliver your order.

RETURNS & REFUNDS

Any items marked as “DISCOUNTED” are not eligible for return. For all other items, returns for store credit will be accepted within 45 days of purchase. Replacements may be available depending on the product. Refunds are only issued if the item description was inaccurate at the time of purchase.

Returned items must be in clean and undamaged condition.

To initiate a return or exchange, please email me at samah@souk-by-samah.com with your order number. I’ll guide you through the process and provide a free return shipping label.

SHIPPING

U.S. & Canada: Orders over $75 (before tax) will get free shipping automatically applied during checkout. For all other orders, returns are only accepted there will be an added shipping & processing fee of $5 if shipping within the U.S., or $15 if shipping to Canada. Orders will be processed and shipped out within 5 business days. You will be notified and provided with a tracking number when your package ships.

Souk by Samah does not currently offer shipping to locations other than the U.S. and Canada.

SALES TAX

Sales tax will be collected for any orders shipped to North Carolina (NC). Sales tax will not be collected for orders shipped outside of NC. If you place an order to a location outside of NC, you should save your order receipt and report the unpaid sales tax (according to your state laws) on this purchase when you file your taxes, as you may be required to pay the respective use tax.

FAQs

Where are you based out of?

I am based in the Triangle area in North Carolina!

I live locally in NC. Do I have to pay for shipping?

That depends on if I am participating in any upcoming events! If there is an upcoming event that you would like to pick up your order from, please email me (samah@souk-by-samah.com) or message me on Instagram (souk.by.samah) with the event name and date and the items you are interested in. If the items are still available, I will create an invoice for you without the shipping fees. The invoice must be paid within three days. Assuming the invoice is paid, I will have your order ready for you to pick up at the event you specified! If the invoice remains unpaid after three days of it being generated, I will assume that you are no longer interested in the order and the items will no longer be held for you and may be purchased by someone else.

If you paid for an order but for some reason were not able to pick it up as expected, please reach out to me within 30 days to make arrangements to either pay for shipping or pick-up at a future event. If other arrangements have not been made within 30 days of the original missed pick-up date, your order will be refunded and the items will no longer be held for you.

Unfortunately, if I have no upcoming events, then local pick-up will not be possible and you must pay for shipping costs.

I had an item in my cart, but it's gone now! What happened?

Someone else has likely purchased the item :(

What payment methods do you accept?

Currently, Souk by Samah only accepts credit and debit cards as payment. Future website updates will include the ability to pay by Google Pay, Apple Pay, and PayPal.

Do you have any sales or discounted items?

Yes - there is a 'Misprints / Imperfects / Discounted' category in the Shop page. Products in this category will have some small imperfections, which are described within their product detail page. Some of these imperfections may include: embossing being off-center in greeting cards, pattern mistakes in jewelry, or unintentional folds/creases in gift bows. Other sales and promotions, when available, will be displayed at the top of the Shop page.

How can I make sure the press-on nails fit me?

Each press-on nails kit comes with at least 24 nails in a variety of sizes, which allows you to choose the best fit for your nails. Each kit may be slightly different since nail tip sizing is not consistent across manufacturers. The product description for each kit will have some information about the included nails/nail sizing - please read through the details thoroughly to make sure that the described sizing works for you.

Can the press-on nails be re-used?

This depends on the method of application and removal. If the nails were applied using the nail glue, it is unlikely that they can be re-used. If they were applied with the adhesive nail tabs, then you should be able to re-use the nails at least once, as long as you carefully remove them and maintain them.

How long will the press-on nails last?

This depends on many factors, including the adhesive chosen, the nail preparation and application process, and how you use your hands and treat your nails while wearing them. Very generally speaking, if the complete nail preparation and application process described in the included instructions is followed, nails applied with the nail glue can last for up to two or three weeks and nails applied with the adhesive tabs can last for up to one week. Please note that the adhesive tabs will feel a little less secure than the glue, and the nails will have a little 'give' to them when pushed.

Something I bought broke. Can you fix it for me?

Unfortunately, things do sometimes break. If that happens (with normal wear) within three months of purchase, please reach out to me and I will do my best to make it right. Please note that I will request a description of what happened and images of the broken product. If it is after three months of purchase, I reserve the right to charge a fee to cover shipping, material, and time costs to fix.

Something I bought is smaller/larger/different than I expected. Can I return it?

I do my best to provide accurate descriptions for each product. If the description is correct but the product is different than you envisioned, you may initiate a return for store credit for up to 45 days after purchase (non discounted items only). Refunds will only be given if the product description was incorrect.

When will you have new products in your store?

I try to update my offerings a few times a year - but it really depends on many factors! Follow me on Instagram for more up-to-date information on when new products will be stocked.

I like your photography - can I hire you as a photographer?

Right now, no - but very soon! Keep an eye out for package and pricing information.

Do you take commissions for art (painting, drawing)?

Not at the current moment, but I hope to in the near future! More information to come soon.
